It's later than I was planning to write my 1,000 words today. But I made it happen. Thanks, Jami and everyone here for the inspiration to dedicate time to start my first 1000 Words of Summer.
I wrote 1,170 words on my interactive fiction game! And I had a long day at work already (I’m a park ranger so summer is our busiest season). I’m now going to collapse in bed.
Revision goal reached!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First day was no cake walk but I did earn some bonus points: I sorted all my receipts, pruned and watered the plants, and dusted off the MS bulletin board.
I'm finishing the revision of my WIP novel, and I'm working out ideas for my next novel. And writing essays for my Substack, and other things...1,000 Words a great time to play!
I'm working on my next post and I have 1023 words so far. Almost done, but I've hit the word count for this, at least! Thanks for getting me going today, Jami!
Day 1: 1636
A day late and a dollar short
I'm back!
Ended the day at 982 words. As I type this, I wonder why I didn't squeeze out that last 18 words.
1020 words. Wrote a letter to my uncle by the ocean. He is everywhere...today he was the curious magpie and the crashing waves.
1340 words. Wrote in several chunks on a busy day.

Thank you Jami! Great to be back for a 2nd round. This time I’m writing memoir about Perry Street in NYC.
It took two separate sessions, but I'm calling it a success at 1076.
Oof. The words fought with me today! 1,011 for now. Might try to write a little more later tonight.
