A Tiny Prompt for Your Sunday

From me to you.

Hi friends.

I came up with a wee writing prompt for the weekend although part of me is hopeful you’re outside instead, enjoying some fresh air, and away from your computer. But if you are banging your head against the screen, hoping something brilliant will come out of it, here’s a little kickstarter for you.

I started thinking about this because I was writing in my journal about what I had accomplished in the first half of the year. It’s not really officially summer yet, I know. But it’s been muggy even on my early morning walks and last night I watched the termites swarm the string lights in the backyard. So it felt like, that’s it, the first two seasons are over, and now here’s the third, which will last for months and months, of course, here in New Orleans, well into what should be the fall.

And I thought, maybe it’s time to reflect on what has already happened the first half of the year so that I can carry some wisdom with me into the second half.
