Good Writing Comes in All Forms

Hello from New York.

Hi friends.

I’m in New York for just a few days for a reading on Monday night and, predictably, my brain is already spinning with ideas. I live such a quiet life in New Orleans most of the time, surrounded by chickens and neighborhood cats and tiny neighborhood interactions. Maybe because I lived in New York for so long, there’s a version of it that’s always running in the background of my mind and so coming here always feels like I’m pressing “play” on something. Or maybe it’s more like continuing a conversation that I had walked away from with a promise to come back to it someday.
