Hi friends.

I wish I had anything interesting to report from my life but I’m just digging my way through some edits and still piling up words in my new book. Sometimes writing is just like that though. Often it is. Head down, and you come up for air six months later with something to show for it. It can be the most beautiful place in the world to hide for a while.

I’m still thinking about my talk at Tulane last week, and all the good conversation that came out of it. There was one more idea that popped up that I wanted to discuss.

Someone approached me at the end of the event and said, “How do you know when you’re done editing?”
