I Love You, I Miss You, I Hope I Get To See You Soon
A few updates and a little prompt.
Hi friends.
This is mostly a housekeeping letter with one little prompt at the end if you’re looking for that kind of thing.
Also, good morning, I love you, I miss you, I hope I get to see you soon.
I updated my last letter to be free for everyone because I got a really fun poet’s response to my prompt from Tricia that I wanted to share as part of it. So scroll through to the end if you haven’t read it already yet to read the new update to it. It was fun to chew on her ideas.
And I wanted to remind you that the next Mini 1000 is this coming weekend! There are more than 10,000 people signed up for this thing, so let’s see what we can stir up for ourselves this weekend. Note: If you’re a paid subscriber over there I will be doing a chat from 6-9 PM CST this Wednesday, and you can ask me anything (at all!) about writing, creativity, process, productivity, publishing, etc., and I will try my best to answer it.
And finally, I’ve got eight events this fall and then I’ll be closing the books for the rest of the year while I head out to an artist’s residency. Come see me in Jackson, MS, Chicago, Brooklyn, and of course New Orleans, and help me celebrate some of my friends’ books—Jason Diamond! Tricia Lockwood! Karen Russell!—as well as the paperback launch of my most recent novel, A Reason to See You Again.
OK, onto the prompt:
