On the Messy Document

It is never a waste of time to sit down and write.

Hi friends.

I’m off to Florida for the weekend for a celebration of the life of a sweet pup. So I’ll be brief today.

But I’ve been one busy bitch so far this week. I generated about 3000 new words, and I’ve also been editing a bunch so now I’m at about 166 clean pages. Which feels amazing to me because I’ve started from the messiest place ever with this book and genuinely felt concerned that I would never get anywhere with it. And yet, I knew one thing to be true: it was better to write and have a messy document than to not have one at all.

I mean, we’ve all those kinds of documents before, right?
