Absolutely writing lets me experience new worlds and what it would be like to be a different person! To live a life far different from my own. George R.R. Martin says it best that as a reader, we live a 1000 lives. As writers, we get to choose what some of those worlds look like.
I love creating a world I’d love to see. Thanks for this reminder that however imperfectly I am creating it, the opportunity to do so is miracle I won’t take for granted.

So so good! It just really resonated with me today and gave me permission of sorts to approach a project differently. So grateful for it! And your letter here confirmed this new direction for me too 💜
So many wishes right now ... mainly for the world to be less of a mess, for people to be better/do better! But yes, writing (and reading) allow us to achieve so much of that which may not be achievable in our life times.

While I read all of the wonderful books about birds that exist, I can continue to work on my own collection!
