I have so much started, and nothing finished, so I have lots of options: a group of poems to expand into a full themed set, a memoir revolving around my mom - in braided-essay form, a children's book for my grandson. 1000 Words a day could be the shove I need!
PS Did I miss a registration link? Is there such a thing?
I'm revising (still, for oh so long) a novel. We'll see where I am in that process come the end of May. I may work on rewriting some existing scenes that need major help, or I may work on writing some new scenes that I've realized I need. We'll see ...
Working on a novel which I’ll keep at during 1,000 (or 500) Words. I haven’t felt the need to change tense (yet 😳), but I did change POV after a couple of thousand words, and damn, that was hard. But yeah, Dad, worth it.
I’m about 25k words into a draft (which is in past tense), but lately I catch myself mistakenly writing in present tense, and I’m not sure why. I can’t decide if I should continue resisting the impulse or just go with it.
It’s linear - though your question made me realize that I took a break from drafting to brainstorm a summary, which I did in present tense - so I think that’s what’s throwing me off! Not some mystical siren call of the present tense after all.
I am thinking about turning different types of birds into characters.

Is it a linear narrative or are you in a flashback or did something shift somehow in the storytelling...?
