Hi friends. When I started #1000wordsofsummer five years ago, it was just a fun thing to try on the internet and I got to meet some cool people and we all got a lot of writing done. For two weeks a year we all felt a little less alone in the world and that seemed like gift enough. Now it’s going to be a book!
This is positively dreamy. When it comes out, I promise to go to every local bookstore that carries it and dance and holler and cajole people into buying in front of the store! For this, hell, I'll even go to B&N too. Congratulations!!
How exciting! FYI next week I will attend the WFWA retreat in Albuquerque. On Saturday 9/24 we are encouraged to wear shirts inspired by our writing life. I'm going to wear my #1000 words a day t-shirt with great pride. Just thought you'd like to know. Looking forward to your books.

Congratulations and thanks, Jami! I have only been able to dip in to #1000words, but it's always in my sights and a solace knowing it's there. I'll definitely pick up this book (I already know I'll be giving it to a couple of friends) and look to carve out space to join next time, too. Cheers!
I love this. My first summer with you (this one) was absolutely soul food. I had no idea I needed it & give thanks to Cheryl Strayed for promoting it at one of her classes!
SO HAPPY this is going to be in the world. Almost every one of your emails delivers some important insight or nugget of truth about life and creativity, and so calmly. A whole book of them might be a bit overwhelming! But it's an overwhelm I'll personally be very happy to take on. Congratulations, and lucky us.
