1000 Words is sitting next to me on my bed waiting for my practice to begin. Jami, you helped me return to my daily writing by giving me a pep talk each day since your brilliant book arrived. I’ve been reading a passage or two and then I “play” in my note book. When my engine warms up I go to my computer. The magic comes later while I’m doing whatever is necessary. My creativity is turned on. Words I searched for appear, ideas show up like old friends ringing my doorbell. Thank you for your help returning me to my novel. I wish you magic and miracles on your path and blessings for a lifetime of grace.
This is such a wake up call for me (and hopefully for others): PRE-ORDERS REALLY DO MATTER. I often don't pre-order the book if I'm going to an in-store event or planning to buy on release day at my local indie, but NO MORE! (Unrelated: WOW, so many AWESOME people in these pics.)
Enjoying your book this weekend in my snowy home way up north, wishing you a continued fun and heartwarming tour! Always so exciting to have a new baby out in the world. And always great to get home to the pup(s)!
I had stopped working on my "hard" fiction project, because it was hard, but since I got your book I brought out the story notebook devoted to it and went through it and found the core of the story. Now I just get to the end, as one of your contributors says

My copy from Books Are Magic arrived last weekend. Right now I am enjoying the simple pleasure of randomly paging through it and enjoying the beauty and feel of the book. Love the orange, love the font for the cover design, love the big quotation marks indicating the contributing writer pieces, love the tear-out notebook page graphic with your personal tips, love the seasonal structure of the book, and absolutely love that you dedicated it to Sid. Feeling the joy and sending the joy!
