Against my better judgment, I'm in. A repeat offender, I intend to use the 1000words discipline to escape my current existence, and at the same time make some headway in the various partially baked writing projects I have open.
I am so excited to join for the first time! I need this kick in the pants to finish a first draft of a new novel begun last summer which has been neglected more or less since then. I may alternate my time in this challenge to also revise my third novel which I ‘thought’ was ready to pitch but outreach to agents over several months and a recent appraisal by an author/MFA professor tells me otherwise. So diving in, with great company!

I can't wait to give this another go this year! I haven't been successful in previous years, and I booked some time off to recharge my batteries before I found out about the dates, so I will miss the last 4 days, but I am attempting to divvy the time up and add it to the 10 days that I will be taking part, so I'll be aiming for 1400W per day, and am going to do my damndest to meet my goal!
I will be working on several pieces of flash fiction and short stories for competitions, and hopefully my first novella-in-flash if there's time.
