Thank you! It's 85 degrees in my house, and I hadn't managed to write a word before 6 pm. Now, I'm almost there! Thanks for keeping us motivated and inspired.

A kenning! That's what they're called. I'm so excited to try this little trick. Thank you!

Hi Jami,

I have been participating in #1,000 words. It has given me, a true neophyte writer at 82 years, a new gift of expression. The story that I had begun through mary g's "What Now" as a 400 word flash fiction piece has grown into a story with several chapters and a lot of character back story. Today's piece by Claire Cameron was helpful and fun.

"When my work is flat, it’s often because I’m pressing to hit a word count or goal." GIRL NOT NOW

jk this letter was beautiful and gave me goosebumps. off to work on my novel (or as a kenning: dumpster fire) (jk this is the best thing i've ever written)

I had the same response. And we are all pressing for that word count. But maybe when I go back to my words . . . there's still time for more dimensions.
