I can relate to what he said about moving from screenplay to novel! My #1000 words started as non-fiction but I switched to fiction a few days ago. There’s much more flow and fun to it.
"It's a trap!" Oh I needed to hear that. If I predicted the future as well as I am SURE shitty things will happen around my manuscript, I should buy us all lottery tickets, because we would win BIG!
"Trust that you not only have a story worth telling, but the ability to write it all down." Needed to hear that... and oofff... worrying if your idea is marketable when all you have is an outline. Ouch. I'm gonna go write now and stop overthinking. 😅
Day 10, 1,302 words, and some fun! Good way to start a Monday. In my experience, whatever happens here on these pages is always used, whether it's in the actual manuscript or as a gateway to something else. Loved this today from Bobby Finger: “Trust that not only you have a story worth telling, but the ability to write it all down. And if you’re reading this, then trust me. You’ve got both.”
1,166 today. Almost all dialogue, including my first attempt at a four-person conversation, which made for interesting acrobatics. I imagined myself as a puppeteer, standing over them all and pulling strings to effect body movement as they interacted. It was FUN. Hope everyone has/had a great writing day.
