You taught me the idea that success=making it to the next book, and this has served me well throughout my (nine!) books. And I've passed it onto many others.

I’m so happy for you, your readers and bookstores! And I love how you tell us your stories and make us somehow part of your process. We are right here with you cheering you and on learning from you. Imagination. Hard work. Imagination. Hard work. Et voila!

The Middlesteins was the first book of yours I read. I loved it, but also, FYI, I reread it recently because I was working on a book about a family relationships among 2 sisters & a mom--well, & a dad, in my book--& I thought I could learn a thing or two by looking at how you handled your characters. And I did. So thanks for that!

Can't wait for your book to arrive! I finished my novel and have started seeking agents, but have also begun 2 more ideas - one YA novel with our 15-year-old, who doesn't read, but LOVES the idea of helping to author a book. ;) #diva

What a great look back at how you got where you are. 10 books is an amazing accomplishment!

I’m late reading this, catching up on Substack I love, and this felt so true. Each book is the gateway to the next one. I’m on number 15 now. It’s a wonderful life. (By now your new book is out in the world. Hooray!)
