Galleys showed up this week for this sucker. I made a dumb unboxing video. When I started writing in earnest nearly two decades ago I would have been happy to just publish one book, maybe two. I never would have thought I could make it to nine books. Nor would I have expected I would have written in different genres. All of it is uniquely challenging and interesting. I am grateful people let me try new things, although you don’t really need anyone to tell you to try new shit, you can just do it and see what happens. Anyway, it is part of the arc of my career now. Trying new shit.
Thanks for making the unboxing video! It's one thing to see images of the cover. It's a whole other thing to see the actual book! Especially loved the dog treats on your table :) Leo is looking quite rakishly handsome by the way...something about that silky swept back hair. Jami, your words of encouragement over the years have given me both inspiration and courage. I pre-ordered from Books Are Magic...can't wait to see this book on my shelf!

Also, "how to get out of your own way, how to forgive yourself for that what you have not done yet, and how to plan for the future" - somehow made me almost cry. At 56, I think I 'should' be published, I'm still trying and writing, and writing and editing and sometimes wanting to give the fuck up because it just feels too damn hard, and then I see the words "forgive yourself" and something melts and maybe I'll go back to it... Thank you. I REALLY can't wait for the book. You are an inspiration.
