Reading this while making coffee in my kitchen definitely not in Italy but I feel transported which is why I read you Jami because I feel inspired to do something and go somewhere else. I have said to myself that I am not a writer only just a reader but thinking I should try writing because why not?
Also, as someone also travelling and writing at this moment, it was lovely to read about your experiences and compare your listening, quiet moments and signs with my own.
I am reading a book at the moment (Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer) where the author talks of listening to the plants 🌱 these are sounds I miss when I’m travelling. My trees sound different - my wind whistles around buildings far away from the thunderous beeping of Vietnam. The wind sings differently in this heavy, heavy air. How lucky we are to have a sense for those vibrations.
This was such a lovely posting. Just what I needed on this draggy gray day....
Can’t wait for the writing challenge! PS: happy traveling and I love postcards ❤️
Chirp chirp chirp!
I’m dreaming about your photos. That water, the color, paradise. So happy for you and your travels.
Don’t stop! A well-written travelogue/postcard transports the reader and your letters check all those boxes.
Nice to read this while in Jupiter, FL! Beautiful pics- looks lovely! Enjoy your travels
Absolutely love these "postcard" newsletters. Thank you so much for the inspiration and connection.
